Nanowrimo!
It’s a weird thing to say, and even stranger to do, but the title above refers to National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50 000 words between Nov 1 and Nov 31. Quantity is the focus, not quality, although it’s recommended to go into it with some outlines and planning done. Apparently no one writes a brilliant first draft no matter how slowly, so you may as well get the sucker done fast and then edit it in December.
Well, I signed up and have begun work on a Snowflake novel design. I feel very motivated and I’m excited to see how this goes. I’m hoping a friend will take the plunge with me. Perhaps it isn’t the most auspicious beginning to a novel-writing career, but I quite like that it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
I’m writing a novel in November! Hurray!
