Having decided to go with juvenile fantasy for the novel I’m writing in November for Nanowrimo, I’ve made the somewhat awkward choice to go with a nom de plume. I already have inklings of a possible series within the storyworld, and while I’m still figuring myself out as a writer, I’d rather have a separate brand for such experiments. The readership of such works wouldn’t be interested in a website like this and I’d have to develop an alternate site for them anyway.

It’s also an exercise in humility as I’ve slowly waded through the process of laying down my personal writing dreams. I like Mother Theresa’s quote about being a little stub of pencil that God can write anything he wants with. It’s not about former classmates recognising my name on a book or article.
