By George…
Wow, I think I’m getting it. Today I outlined in very basic terms all of the Scenes (and Sequels) of my novel. I started to really understand the flow of the structure, how one thing leads into the next, which leads into the next and so on. Amazing! I’ve been trying to wrap my head around how this actually works in practice, and by doing it, now I know.
That feels really good!
Best of all is that I still have ONE MORE DAY before Nanowrimo starts to work on my poor underdeveloped Storyworld. Considering that Storyworld is what I like best about any novel, that is a truly sad state of affairs. Maybe it’s been good that I haven’t been distracted by it while I hammer out the structure of this thing, but I’d really love to immerse myself in some wonderful elsewhere for a while. This is a major part of the joy of writing.
