Good news, bad news
I’m getting tired, it’s true. There continue to be several writing class assignments demanding writing time beyond the two hours it generally takes me to meet my quota. Plus I have a lot of cleaning and prep to do for a certain ten-year-old’s birthday party.
I have slowed the pace down a fair bit as I’m writing ~ at this point in the plot my main characters are separated, so there is much more interior monologue and description going on. I’ve learned some details about the story world as the story is teaching itself to me. Lots of action still too, but at a slower pace.
The good news is, I’m over 15 000 words. The bad news is, there are still 35 000 words to go!
I’m really enjoying hearing about your novel writing. Good for you for taking this challenge on. I miss writing (no time!) but I know I’m not a novelist. Never have been!
But just to let you know I’m silently cheering you on. I didn’t know you were taking any college courses either. that’s how long it’s been since I’ve received a proper update from you but don’t worry, you have to focus your energies on your novel write (pun intended) now! Wishing you light, fast typing fingers….–C
