I’m finally really getting a kick out of writing my novel. I expect that there will be lots of time later this month to go back and expand on many things I rushed through to get to “the good part”. They were potentially really good too, it’s just these now are the scenes that I had in my head most clearly, and are therefore much more fun and easy to get down. My numbers continue to climb, and I can see me actually “winning” Nanowrimo.

I’m excited to get through this first draft of the novel because when I’m done I can dive into the strongly recommended learning to write books that I got myself for Christmas…well, maybe I’ll get into one of them a little early…

Well, this is certainly the most writing I have ever done, and the most consistently that I have written. I not only made my Nanowrimo quota for the day, I also wrote and handed in the much reviled reader response in class (I found a gem or two buried beneath the political posturing that were worth commenting on), as well as an occupation description on belly dancing. ( Yes, I know what I’m talking about). So I totalled around 3 000 words written today alone, breaking, nay, shattering the 10 000 word mark by over 500 words.

I can’t believe it’s been only 6 days!
